Sports coverage everyone can read

Undrafted is built to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or none of the above. Where we fall short, we want to hear about it and fix it on a deadline.

Our commitment

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the whole site, including article pages, the scores tables and the contributor dashboard. Accessibility is part of design review, not a cleanup pass — new components ship with keyboard behaviour and semantics defined.

We audit with automated tooling on every release and run a manual screen-reader review of the top 20 templates twice a year. Our most recent full audit was completed in June 2026.

Keyboard support

Every interactive element is reachable in a logical order with a visible 3px focus ring.

A Skip to content link is the first tab stop on every page, and the account dropdown traps focus while open.

Screen readers

Tested with VoiceOver (Safari), NVDA (Firefox) and JAWS (Chrome).

Landmarks on every page: banner, navigation, main, complementary, contentinfo.

Photography carries descriptive alt text written by the photo desk, not filenames.

Live score updates announce politely and never steal focus mid-read.

Contrast & text scaling

Body text clears 4.5:1; large headlines clear 3:1. Navy on white measures 15.8:1.

Layouts reflow to 400% zoom and 320px width without horizontal scrolling.

Four text sizes and a reduced-motion switch live in Settings → Accessibility.
