2023 ACC Women's Soccer Championship: Florida State Takes Top Seed, Excitement Builds!

In preparation for the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Championship, the tournament bracket and seedings have been established.

Florida State, after an undefeated regular season, secured the top spot as the No. 1 seed. They aim to clinch their fourth consecutive ACC title, finishing with a remarkable 9-0-1 league record, amassing 28 points. Their recent performance, outscoring opponents 16-3 in the last four matches, showcases their dominance.

Notre Dame claimed the No. 2 seed, marked by their 2-0 home victory over Clemson in the regular-season finale. With a 7-1-2 ACC record and 23 points, the Fighting Irish narrowly edged out the Tigers by a single point. Both Florida State and Notre Dame will receive byes into the semifinal round.

Clemson, earning the No. 3 seed with 22 points and a 7-2-1 league record, will face off against the No. 6 seed, Wake Forest, in their first-round matchup. Wake Forest secured their postseason berth with a 2-0 victory against Miami in their final regular-season game. The match is set to kick off at 6 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field on Sunday.

North Carolina, concluding their conference schedule without a loss but settling for a record of five ties and 19 points, has secured the No. 4 seed. They will host Pitt in their first-round contest, as the Panthers came back from a two-match skid with a 2-1 victory over Virginia Tech in the final regular-season game. The North Carolina vs. Pitt match is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The first round and semifinals of the tournament will be broadcast live on ACC Network, while the final on Sunday, November 5, will be aired at noon on ESPNU.

All six teams in this year's championship were either ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 or received votes, with Florida State holding the No. 1 spot, North Carolina at No. 3, Clemson at No. 8, Notre Dame at No. 11, and Pitt and Wake Forest receiving votes.

Tickets for the semifinals and final of the 2023 Ally ACC Championship are currently available for purchase at theacc.co/23champtix. Single-match tickets can be bought for $10 for adults aged 19 and above, while ACC students and youth aged 18 and under can attend for free. Additionally, Town of Cary employees are granted free admission, and the first 500 fans at each match will receive a complimentary soccer scarf.

For tickets to the first-round matches, fans can acquire them through the respective host schools.
