Hurricanes Soar to Victory: Van Dyke and Parrish Lead Miami's Dominant Win Over Boston College

Miami dominated the first half, scoring on four of five drives, breaking Boston College’s defense. Van Dyke showcased his versatility by connecting with nine different receivers, with Xavier Restrepo leading the pack with 117 yards on six catches.

Miami secured a 45-20 victory against Boston College at Chestnut Hill, Mass., with Tyler Van Dyke completing 23 of 36 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns. Henry Parrish Jr. contributed with a pair of rushing scores, amassing 111 yards on 11 carries after returning from an injury in the third quarter. The Hurricanes, now 7-5 (3-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference), ended a three-game losing streak.

Thomas Castellanos, playing for Boston College (6-6, 3-5), ran and threw for a total of two touchdowns but couldn’t prevent his team from finishing the regular season on a three-game losing streak. Miami outpaced Boston College with 532 total yards to 294, particularly excelling in a 21-point second quarter where they held a 196-58 advantage.

The game started with a strong 75-yard scoring drive by Boston College, but they struggled afterward, punting on their next four possessions. Miami’s Mark Fletcher Jr. tied the game with a 1-yard run, and Parrish’s 15-yard run put Miami ahead in the second quarter. The Hurricanes continued to build their lead with touchdowns from Young and another from Parrish.

Boston College attempted a comeback in the third quarter, with Castellanos scoring a 21-yard touchdown after a fumble recovery. However, Miami responded with George’s 4-yard touchdown and a 26-yard field goal by Andres Borregales, maintaining a comfortable lead.

Despite Boston College’s efforts, the game ended decisively with Ajay Allen’s 30-yard run for Miami, sealing the victory in the closing minutes.
