Despite a late ORU goal, SMU’s press, poise, and relentless attack sealed the win and capped a strong weekend at Washburne Stadium.

Northwestern State fell 2–0 to SMU on Sunday, conceding an early goal and a second-half penalty despite a strong defensive effort and multiple near-misses. Goalkeeper Kennedy Rist made six saves, keeping the Demons competitive in a match where they were outshot 27–6.
