“Dallas Trinity FC is not just a team; it is a pioneering force dedicated to uniting the North Texas region and fostering a community through soccer,” expressed Amanda Vandervort, President of the USL Super League.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Dallas skyline and the Trinity River, the team’s colors are designated as sunrise maroon, prairie gold, and live oak green. The club’s leadership includes Jim Neil as CEO, a founding partner of the Dallas-based Churchill Capital, with his son Charlie Neil serving as the president and Chris Petrucelli taking on the role of general manager.

A recent Dallas City Council meeting saw the approval of a plan allowing Dallas Trinity FC to host their games at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium for the next two years, starting this season on August 16.

The introduction of Dallas Trinity FC represents a historic milestone in women’s professional sports, aligning with the city’s long-standing connection to soccer.

“Dallas is a perfect fit for our new team, offering a solid foundation for growth and community engagement through soccer,” Jim Neil remarked during the launch event.

Dallas holds a rich legacy in youth soccer, being home to the first all-girls soccer club in the U.S., the Dallas Sting, and hosting the prestigious Dallas Cup since 1980. The region boasts the highest number of girls participating in soccer nationwide, which underscores its potential for nurturing professional women’s soccer.

Charlie Neil highlighted the timing and location as optimal for the new venture, stating,

“North Texas has been eagerly anticipating this development, and Dallas, the nation’s top sports business city, is the ideal setting for professional women’s soccer.”

Just days after the announcement, Dallas Trinity FC unveiled their team name, logo, and colors. The primary colors reflect the city’s vibrant nature and local pride, with the team’s crest and secondary logos incorporating a pegasus and stylized text elements.
