Fever vs. Wings: Caitlin Clark's 29 and 10 Lead Indiana as Tyasha Harris Goes 5-for-5 From Three
Caitlin Clark scored 29 with 10 assists, Tyasha Harris went 5 of 5 from three and the Indiana Fever hung 35 on Dallas in the fourth to beat the Wings 98-87 on Friday.

Caitlin Clark walked gingerly toward the Indiana locker room with 40 seconds left in the first half on Friday night, and 17,274 people at Gainbridge Fieldhouse did some very quick math on the rest of the season. She came back and scored 17 points in the third quarter. So much for the math.
The Indiana Fever then hung 35 on the Dallas Wings in the fourth and won 98-87 for their third straight victory, with Clark finishing at 29 points and 10 assists and Tyasha Harris going a perfect 5 of 5 from three off the bench. Paige Bueckers matched Clark's 29 and still lost by 11, which tells you how those last 10 minutes went.
Three Quarters of Foreshadowing
The first quarter was a brick festival. Indiana shot 37 percent, made exactly one three, courtesy of Harris, and somehow led 17-15 anyway. A Dallas defense that the Fever's own site ranks fifth had Indiana looking rushed, and the Wings took a 37-35 lead into the break.
The third quarter is what you'd buy a ticket to see. Clark and Bueckers traded buckets for 10 minutes while the teams combined for 57 points in a game that featured 12 lead changes. Dallas still held a 66-63 edge going to the fourth, which should have been a warning to somebody.
Then the floor tilted. The Fever opened the final period on a 10-2 run, and by the time a 12-0 Indiana burst ended at 6:19, a 68-66 Wings lead had become a 78-68 Fever lead. Aliyah Boston scored 10 in the quarter. Harris scored 12 and played all 10 minutes. In the closing stretch Clark went full conductor, setting up Boston at 2:12 and Kelsey Mitchell at 1:43 and 1:21, while Harris added threes at 2:42 and with 22 seconds left just to be thorough.
The Maestro and Her Unlikely First Violin
Clark shot 2 of 8 from three, and that's what makes this line so fun. Her jumper was off, so she stopped auditioning it and shredded Dallas inside instead, going 5 of 5 in the paint during that third quarter by the team's count.
"My threes didn't go down early, so that was kind of my focus, just [to] get my feet in the paint and good things can happen," she said.
The team ranks those 17 as the third-most points in one quarter by any Fever player, two behind the franchise record of 19 Mitchell set in 2022. The Fever's recap also says Clark has now strung together three straight games of 20-plus points and 10-plus assists, which ties the league record for the longest such streak, and the box scores back up the run: 26 and 11 against Chicago, 22 and 10 against New York, 29 and 10 here. Her 700th career assist came in her 83rd game, which the team calls the fastest in WNBA history. Coach Stephanie White reached for the orchestra section. "She's like a maestro," she said.
Then there's Harris, who needed only 17 minutes to post 15 points and a game-best plus-20. Five threes is a career high, and the Fever say she's now one of only four players in franchise history with a perfect night on five or more, alongside Tully Bevilaqua, Tamika Catchings and Jeanette Pohlen-Mavunga. "Ty's probably one of the best teammates I've had," Clark said. White was just as blunt: "I have the utmost confidence in Ty," she said.
Mitchell's 23 points gave her 18 straight games with at least 20, which the box scores confirm, and the team says that extends her WNBA lead for the longest such streak in a single season. She's two games from tying A'ja Wilson's 20, the most overall in league history. Boston added 16 points and 10 rebounds, five of them on the offensive glass.
Dallas has no complaints about Bueckers, who had 29 points, six rebounds and six assists on 11 of 21 shooting. Arike Ogunbowale scored 20 despite going 0 of 5 from three, and Odyssey Sims hit three of the team's seven makes from deep. That last number is the problem.
The 2:51 That Broke Dallas
The game turned between 9:10 and 6:19 of the fourth, when Indiana scored 12 straight and the Wings' lead vanished for good. Clark's third-quarter assault on the paint set it up, by her own account. "The more I can do that, it puts [the defense] in rotation, allows my teammates to get open too," she said. Translation: help comes, Harris stands alone, and suddenly a reserve is the scariest shooter in the building.
Numbers With Some Bite
- 35-21: The fourth quarter. "When we play good defense, 35 points in a quarter has become pretty normal for our group," Clark said, a sentence that should alarm the rest of the league.
- 5 vs. 7: Threes made by Harris alone versus the entire Wings roster, which shot 7 of 29.
- 50-36: Indiana's edge in the paint, on the way to 53 percent shooting overall.
- 18 of 20: Dallas at the foul line, the main reason it hung around while shooting 24 percent from deep.
Sunday Just Got Interesting
Indiana is 22-12, 13-6 at home, and the team notes that win No. 22 ties the 2009 and 2012 clubs for the second most in a season in franchise history, two behind the 24 set in 2025, with 10 games still to play. Next is a trip to Atlanta on Sunday, and the Dream sit half a game back at 21-12. The season series with Dallas is even at 1-1 after the Wings' 107-104 win in this building in May.
Dallas fell to 20-15, 10-9 on the road, and has lost five of its last seven. The Wings visit Golden State on Monday, which won't make the week any easier.
Waiting for the Drop
Every good DJ set has the same structure: a long, slightly uncomfortable build, the crowd checking their phones, and then the bass arrives and everyone forgets they were ever bored. Indiana spent three quarters on the build. Clark knew it, too.
"It felt like we were just waiting for the moment to unleash," she said. "I felt like that's what we kind of got in the fourth quarter."
The scary part for everybody else is that she walked gingerly into halftime first.
