Clearwater finally got on the board in the bottom of the fifth when center fielder Avery Owusu-Asiedu launched a solo home run off reliever Adolfo Oviedo. The Threshers added another run in the bottom of the sixth on first baseman Kodey Shojinaga’s RBI hit. Clearwater would score one additional run in the bottom of the eighth, but the onslaught had already been done.

Bradenton added one final run in the top of the seventh to cap off a 13-run, 14-hit performance. The five Bradenton Marauders pitchers—Peyton Stumbo, Adolfo Oviedo, Jesus Clode, Jose Garces, and Jake Shirk—combined to hold Clearwater to just three runs on seven hits, striking out a collective ten, giving up one home run, and issuing only three walks.
